WormGro is a worm cast liquid extract made by Kookaburra Worm Farms in Queensland. Each batch carries over one million species of beneficial microbes and up to 80 chelated minerals. Applied as a foliar spray or through irrigation, it rebuilds soil biology, frees bound phosphorus, and strengthens plants against pests, disease and drought.

WormGro comes from Kookaburra Worm Farms, where founder George Mingin has bred compost worms and refined worm cast extracts for over three decades. The formulation follows Dr Elaine Ingham’s Soil Food Web science: feed the microbes, and the microbes feed the crop.

Yes, and farms are doing it now. WormGro Balance is blended against your soil test, so the paddock gets the N, P, K, S and trace elements it is actually short of, delivered with the biology that makes them available. Brigitte Gamble grew 262 bales of oat hay per acre on WormGro Balance alone. Transition gradually or in one season, guided by us.
Synthetics feed the plant directly and bypass the soil. WormGro feeds the soil ecosystem: microbes convert locked nutrients into plant-available forms, build structure that holds water, and prime plants' natural defences. The result compounds season on season instead of depleting.
Every crop trialled so far has responded: oats, ryegrass, lucerne, capsicum, ginger, macadamias, tomatoes, ornamentals and home gardens. It applies by watering can, boom spray, or fertigation.
Field applications run from around $60/ha, as in the Moffatdale oats result. That figure covered the full fertiliser program for the season: one 20L/ha foliar pass.
It is the smell of a live product. WormGro carries active biology, not a sterilised solution. The smell disperses quickly after application and is a sign the microbial load is intact.
